STL Startup Week 2022

Rachel D’Souza-Siebert is the Founder and Chief Purpose Officer of Gladiator Consulting in St. Louis, Missouri. Born to immigrant parents, Rachel is a person of color, working mother, and entrepreneur. She spent nearly a decade in the nonprofit sector in fundraising roles before starting Gladiator Consulting in 2015. She was inspired to start her own boutique consultancy after recognizing the fundamental flaws in the system; she longed to create a company that served both herself, people that look like her, and people that had similar lived experiences to her.

In this presentation, Rachel will guide attendees through a roadmap of how to start a business that not only encompasses, but deeply aligns the founders’ passions and values. She will lead attendees through a core-value exercise and challenge them to think about the traditional work and experiences that haven’t served them– and our communities– thus far.
